Sky News host Liz Storer says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese “lied repeatedly” about not changing his position on stage three tax cuts.
Ms Storer’s remarks come after Mr Albanese fronted the National Press Club on Thursday to defend the government’s changed position on the stage three tax cuts.
Labor has decided to reform the stage three tax cuts following an emergency caucus meeting on Wednesday amid Australia’s cost of living crisis.
“He lied repeatedly – this wasn’t something that actually took place in the last week or so,” Ms Storer said.
“He promised it over 100 times, all the while knowing he had this cooking away in the background – that is a bald-faced lie.
“So, it’s not an exaggeration to say, ‘you’re a liar, you’re an absolute liar’.”
