World Cup stadium security reportedly tackled at least two men after the World Cup match between Iran and the United States on November 29, 2022. One man chanting the slogan “women, life, freedom” could be seen in the footage being held down by security personnel. Iranian football fans in Qatar have firmly expressed their support for the ongoing demonstrations at home. The country has now entered its third month of protests, which was initially sparked by the death in custody of the Iranian woman Mahsa Amini.
