Then, Vitaly imitates Rocky by running up the city’s famous 560-step stairway from the Volga River to the city’s old hill fortress. As the city had been an ancient centre of Russian manufacturing and trade, the trio visits a craft village to try their hand at throwing pots, weaving cloth, and making gingerbread.
