Voting for the by-election in Victoria’s southeast is well under way.

Former Premier Daniel Andrews stepped down in September after almost nine years, saying he felt it was time and didn’t want to start resenting his job.

The former Victorian premier was a polarising figure, and he has been the only member for the electorate of Mulgrave.

The electorate is in Mulgrave’s southeastern suburbs covering an area of just over 35 square kilometres.

Since it’s inception in 2002, it has only been held by Labor.
