A video showing a man licking his finger and then wiping itonto railings of an MTR train handrail has sparked outrage and after it was widely shared online on March 18, 2020. The video was shared tens of thousands of times on Facebook and WhatsApp messenger app. Joel Werner, a Hong Kong based hedge fund manager, has admitted he was the man in the video, but said it was filmed as a parody to educate friends about “fake news”.
