Author and Economist Paul Sheard says it is “pretty shocking” to see the US legal system being “weaponised” for political purposes.
Former US president Donald Trump is dealing with legal battles after being indicted multiple times.
Mr Sheard said certain forces at play “tried to keep Trump off the ballot”.
“So it is a concern that rather than fighting out politics at the ballot box, to an increasing extent, it’s being done through the legal system.
Mr Sheard joined Sky News Australia to discuss the weaponisation of the legal system used against Donald Trump.
