The UN Security Council has passed a resolution demanding an increase in aid deliveries to Palestinians in Gaza who the World Health Organization say are facing the risk of starvation.
The resolution asks both Israel and Hamas to provide the safe and unhindered delivery of supplies but it did not call for a stop in the fighting.
