Twitter’s new service terms raise fears of ‘shadow bans’ online

Twitter’s updated terms of service says it will now be able to put limits on content, raising fears the social media platform could apply so-called ‘shadow bans’: that effectively means suppressing publicly-posted content – without the user’s knowledge that their posts aren’t visible to followers. It’s an accusation Twitter has faced before, but as RT reports, it could become the norm from next year.
