The Australian’s Washington Correspondent Adam Creighton says former US president Donald Trump “is winning” after President Joe Biden was accused of being a threat to democracy.
Mr Creighton joined Sky News host Caleb Bond to discuss the upcoming presidential election in the US.
“They’ve been trying this strategy – the Democrats, President Biden has been trying this strategy for … more than two years,” Mr Creighton said.
“It seemed to work up until the mid-term elections.
“Because as we know the red wave that was supposed to happen back in late 2022 never happened, but since then of course, Trump has announced his candidacy for the presidency and he’s just soared in the polls.”
