Traffic penalty fines hiked, daily commuters claim fines as 'too steep'

The amended Motor Vehicles Act, which came in effect from 1 September 2019, aims to improve road safety by levying substantial fines for flouting traffic regulations. These new fine range from ₹1,000 and can go as high as ₹25,000. The commuters have however stated the fines ‘too steep’ to be paid. Listen in!
