TikTok content creators gathered in front of the US Capitol in Washington on March 13, 2024, after the House of Representatives passed a bill that could lead to a nationwide ban of the social media platform. If the US Senate approves it, Chinese TikTok owner ByteDance will be given about six months to divest the app to avoid being banned on platforms such as Google and Apple.
