With three weeks to go for FM Nirmala Sitharaman’s maiden budget, pre-budget consultations are on everday. The finance minister met today with representatives of the financial sector including the NBFC companies. The cash-strapped sector asked FM Sitharaman to treat them as priority sector and set up permanent refinance window. They also lamented that it’s unfortunate that based on a few recent defaults.
