Former Howard government minister Peter McGauran says Victorian Liberals were “hopeless” in the state election.

“They were almost invisible, they had no cut-through lines, they should have concentrated on debt, which is the worse in Australia, and it’s unsustainable for the future,” he told Sky News Australia.
