Hundreds of people took part in a vehicle rally on the streets of Bangkok on July 16, 2023, to show support for the leader of Thailand’s election-winning Move Forward Party, Pita Limjaroenrat. The leader lost in his first bid to secure the 375 votes in parliament needed to become prime minister. Pita says he will withdraw from the prime minister race if he loses the next round of voting, which is scheduled for July 19.
