South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on November 28, 2022, called on Beijing to dissuade Pyongyang from developing nuclear weapons and missiles, adding that China is capable of influencing the North. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said earlier that Pyongyang intends to have the world’s most powerful nuclear force. The reclusive state is believed to be preparing to resume testing nuclear bombs for the first time since 2017.
