The Solomon Islands in the Pacific Ocean is due to hold elections on Wednesday. Voters are worried about the rising cost of living and there are some who fear the government’s closer ties with China. But this isn’t the only challenge the island-nation faces. With around 900 islands spread over a huge area, counting the ballots will take weeks.
