Sensex was trading 63 points or 0.16% lower at 38,522.33 while the Nifty50 index traded 0.15% lower at 11,567.As the first phase of voting for general elections began today the BSE Sensex and Nifty remained rangebound on Thursday amid thin volume as investors remained on the sidelines.
Bajaj Auto was the top gainer, up 1.26% followed by BPCL, HUL, Dr Reddy’s Lab among the Nifty50 stocks.
