The Chinese capital Beijing has announced that all international travellers must self-quarantine for 14-days. The measures were put in place on March 11, 2020, after six imported cases –five from Italy and one from the US – were confirmed in the city on the same day. As the nation begins to see the domestic rate of infection stabilise, the Chinese government is stepping up measures to limit the chances of Covid-19 cases being imported from areas overseas that are now hardest-hit by the pandemic.
