Russia’s version of McDonald’s, “Vkusno i tochka”, unveiled Big Hit as its Big Mac substitute on December 12, 2022. Russia created its own iteration of McDonald’s in June after the US fast food chain pulled out of the country in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Vkusno i tochka, which means ‘Tasty and that’s it”, has not offered a product similar to the Big Mac since its reopening in June despite selling many other rebranded McDonald’s products.
The brand does not have the right to use certain colours or golden arches or make any mention of McDonald’s, said Alexander Govor, the owner of Vkusno i tochka.
