A boat carrying 69 Rohingya refugees who fled camps in Bangladesh reached Indonesia’s Aceh province on February 16, 2023. Their 15-day journey was the latest in a wave of migration by hundreds of people from the ethnic minority community who are desperate to find a better life. The United Nations’ human rights body UNHCR says 2022 may have been one of the deadliest years at sea in almost a decade for Rohingyas, a persecuted minority group in Myanmar
