A 76-year-old Russian woman runs a tiny farm on Olkhon Island in the middle of Lake Baikal.
To assist herding her cattle during the long winter months, the pensioner has taken to ice-skating on the lake, which is a mile deep (1.65km).
Her skates are tied to traditional Russian valenki felt boots and date all the way back to 1943.
