Bond University ASSOC Professor in Criminology Dr Terry Goldsworthy says the siege at a rural Queensland property is “a tragedy in all respects” as reports indicate six people were killed in the shooting.
“It’s highly unusual … we’ve got multiple shooters, we’ve got multiple victims, some police, some not police,” Dr Goldsworthy told Sky News Australia.
“The callous act of some of the actions taken by the shooters after the initial engagement, again, is highly unusual, and this is really an event that no one saw coming and will take a long time to digest.
“It’s a horrendous event that’s occurred.”
