Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan has called Oprah Winfrey out for “deliberately” peddling a lie to her fans over her use of a “miracle” weight loss drug.
“She’s been telling them giant whoppers about her weight,” Mr Morgan said.
“Oprah’s long since railed against the use of medication for weight loss; she’s a poster girl of the body positivity movement.
“It was all very inspiring that rhetoric, but that wasn’t what was going on.
“She’s given the green light for millions of people to stop exercising now and to stuff their faces and take the pills.
“The truth is that Oprah Winfrey deliberately peddled a lie to her fans.”
In an interview with US magazine ‘People’, the US host revealed she had lost a substantial amount of weight thanks to a weight loss drug.
