Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says Ontario in Canada is “rapidly expanding” its nuclear capacity to create business investment and to “meet and exceed its emission targets”.

Mr Greenwood said nuclear energy will be a significant point of difference between the Labor government and the Coalition in the next election.

The Coalition has pushed for the Albanese government to lift the ban on nuclear energy.

“Labor’s Climate Change and Energy Minister Chirs Bowen says nuclear is too expensive and will take too long to develop, compared with renewable energy,” Mr Greenwood said.

Mr Greenwood was joined by Ontario Energy Minister Todd Smith to discuss how Australia can look to Canada in the nuclear debate.
