North Korea has held a cooking competition in honour of the country’s late leader Kim Jong-il, whose birthday falls on February 16. The father of the current leader, Kim Jong-un, had a serious taste for sushi, even hiring his own personal sushi chef for decades. The cooking competition showed off some sashimi preparation skills, including a dish featuring the still-beating heart of a fish.
