Indonesian President Joko Widodo, once hailed as a clean-slate leader, is accused of paving the way for the political career of his son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, potentially establishing a political dynasty. Despite his popularity, critics argue that Widodo’s actions contradict his previous stance on nepotism. The coming election features front runners Gibran and Prabowo Subianto, followed by opposition leader Anies Baswedan and Widodo’s party candidate, Ganjar Pranowo. The election will take place on February 14, 2024.
