The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday had declared Thushar Vellappally, president of BJP-ally Bharat Dharma Jana Sena as the NDA candidate from Wayanad Kerala for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Vellappally will take on Congress chief Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha polls from Wayanad, as the Congress announced on Sunday that Gandhi will fight the polls from two seats – Amethi and Wayanad.
