Agrochemical giant Monsanto is facing accusations it paid tens of thousands of euros to enlist the support of farmers across Europe – to lobby against a ban on one of its pesticides. Greenpeace also says Monsanto set up fake farmers’ groups – to promote the benefits of the product.
