Military parade marks Latvian 100th Independence Day anniversary in Riga

Latvians marked the 100th anniversary of their country’s independence with a military parade in Riga on Sunday. Over 1,000 soldiers took part in parade. They were joined by troops from the United States, Canada and other countries. The celebrations of the day were concluded with a torch procession. The Independence of the Republic of Latvia was proclaimed following WW1 on November 18, 1918.
