LIVE TV — A fresh Triple Talaq bill will be re-introduced in the parliament today. The Muslim women protection of rights on marriage bill of 2017 was first introduced in the parliament in December 2017 where it passed. The bill faced stiff opposition in Rajya Sabha where it couldn’t be passed and it failed to turn into a law. BJP after coming back to power the second time made it very clear that the govt would re-introduce the bill in the monsoon session. The bill was cleared by the cabinet on June 12 and will be tabled today where it is expected to pass again, it’s real challenge continues to be the upper house.
