More than 20 young women in India are pursuing their dream of winning medals in wrestling, a male-dominated sport considered taboo for women in many parts of the country. They have been training at the Altius wrestling school, in the northern Indian state of Haryana. Founded by Usha Sharma, a police officer, and her husband in 2009, the school has been providing a safe space for female wrestlers aged 8 to 22, while delivering rare lessons in female empowerment.
