North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended the inauguration ceremony of a new district in the capital Pyongyang on April 16, 2023. State media reported that the new Hwasong district, located in the Pyongyang suburbs, will house 10,000 new flats.
The district lies near the burial site of the country’s founding father Kim Il-sung and his son, Kim Jong-il.
