Ecuador’s former vice president Jorge Glas has been moved from prison to a military hospital.
He became ill after refusing the food provided in jail.
Police stormed the Mexican embassy in Quito on Friday, arresting Glas and triggering a major diplomatic crisis.
Glas was seeking asylum in Mexico.
