Italy is discouraging traditional greetings of kissing on the cheeks or shaking hands to limit the spread of the coronavirus. Authorities also advise people to stay at least a metre (3.3 feet) apart from one another. Other measures include shutting down schools and banning audiences from attending football matches, which is expected to cause the most resentment.
