Bondi Partners Senior Advisor Peter McGauran says Israel has sent a strong signal to Iran that they are capable of striking Iranian territory following a recent strike.

It comes as Iranian authorities have declared they shot down several drones from the sky over the cities of Isfahan and Tabriz on Friday.

Initial reports have claimed the drones were launched by Israel in retaliation to 300 Iranian drones and missiles launched towards Jerusalem last week.

Israel’s government and military are declining to confirm or deny if they carried out the strike.

“Israel has shown a great deal of restraint but achieved its purpose – it sent a strong signal to Iran,” Mr McGauran told Sky News Australia.

“That firstly, we will send a missile on to your land, and they haven’t done that before; it’s all been targeted assassinations, cyber security disruptions, explosions.

“Secondly, we have the capability.

“Thirdly, we will target your nuclear facilities.”
