On the debate tonight, the mystery of India’s job data explores. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has hot back to the 108 economists, in a point by point debacle he says that they are politically motivated.
As recently, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley hits back on missing Indian data by saying, the credibility of the 108 economists must be questioned. Unemployment with unprecedented growth under the Modi government is a myth.
This raises many important questions.
Why will anybody in this country not want to believe that we’re growing at a healthy level if indeed we were growing at that level?
Why aren’t independent economists speaking out against the 108 ‘politically motivated’ economists? Where is the data on poverty, farmer suicides, crime, and unemployment?
Why is it that the minute we start questioning something linked to the government, we become anti-government or politically motivated?
