The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has extended a lockdown on the country until May 3.

The number of coronavirus cases in India has reached over 10,000 and over 300 people have died of the infection so far, according to John Hopkins University data.

But doctors have told the BBC that the real scale of the outbreak is not yet known because of how the country has been testing so far.

The BBC’s India correspondent Yogita Limaye reports from Mumbai.
