Japanese sake master Daisuke Suzuki’s family business was destroyed by the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that hit the coast of Fukushima prefecture. Since the disaster, Suzuki has not only rebuilt the brewery in his hometown, but he is also helping the local fishing industry get back on its feet. But now that path to recovery has suffered a fresh blow with the release of treated wastewater from the damaged Fukushima nuclear plant into the sea.
