Hundreds of participants at the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea were sent to hospital for heat exhaustion, as the country roasts under temperatures of around 38°C (100.4°F). Hundreds of rescue personnel as well as cooling resources like air-conditioned buses and water trucks have been dispatched to the site. The event has attracted 43,000 scouts globally and is expected to run until August 12, 2023.
