When making the news, journalists have to do a lot of research to find a good story. Social media and the internet have sped up the process, but journalists still have to consider where to find their sources, what questions to ask, and whether or not they can trust their sources. Then, they gather information such as interviews, videos and photos to tell that story, edit it together and publish it.

This series, made in partnership with Microsoft Education, BBC Learning and Angelina Jolie, will give you the tools to fact-check stories and spot fake news, so you can make your own decisions about what to read or watch, and what information to trust.
