Sky News host Liz Storer says a new report on housing has told Australians what they “already knew”.

A report from the Institute of Public Affairs has found an extra 63,000 homes would need to have been built last year to accommodate new migrants into Australia.

“We don’t have enough housing to accommodate the number of immigrants our government keeps just pouring into Australia,” Ms Storer said.

“This just seems like a crisis that is completely out of hand now.

“People are going without; can’t rent, can’t buy and you’ve got 43,000 homes sitting empty in one state.”
