There’s new hope of a breakthrough to end years of deadlock between the UK and the European Union over post-Brexit trade arrangements.
Sinn Fein’s leader Mary Lou McDonald said “significant progress has been made” to resolve the row over the Northern Ireland protocol and a deal is “very much game on”, after the Prime Minister Rishi Sunak held meetings near Belfast.
