Hong Kong International School (HKIS) will open a “once-in-a-generation” athletic complex with a floor area of 22,700 square metres spanning across nine floors on October 28, 2025. The complex, situated next to its Tai Tam campus and officially known as the Dragon Centre for Activities and Athletics, had cost the school around HK$1 billion (US$129 million). It is part of the school’s larger plan to invest around HK$2.5 billion (US$322 million) to renovate one of its campuses despite the ongoing legal row with a US church group that helped found the institution.
