The divide across the European Union is on full display as countries go their separate ways on migrant controls.

The disunity towards Europe’s migrant crisis is only adding to the influx as people smugglers sense weak leadership.

With the 2024 European Union election nearing, there could be a big change coming to the way Europe functions.

The Spectator Writer Gavin Mortimer says one great issue with Europe’s immigration crisis is that the EU refuses to “recognise the gravity of the problem”.

“That will change if the 700 EU parliament becomes a majority anti-mass immigration,” Mr Mortimer said.

“That’s still nine months away; I think we’re going to see an until then and an increase in immigration.”
