Spanish extreme athlete and mountaineer Beatriz Flamini has missed major world events, such as the start of the war in Ukraine and the death of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth, because she had literally been living in a cave. Flamini began the challenge of spending 500 days alone in a cave in Motril, Spain on November 20, 2021, as part of a study on the capacities of the human mind and circadian rhythms.
