Spanish police said on October 14, 2022, that it had dismantled a criminal group believed to be Europe’s largest money launderer behind international drug trafficking gangs from more than 20 countries. In total, police seized nearly 3 million euros (US$2.9 million), including 11 luxury vehicles, cryptocurrency accounts and cash. Thirty-two arrests were made in the coordinated raids in 21 locations across Spain on September 27.
