A pair of rare red ruffed lemurs were introduced to the world by Singapore Zoo officials on July 16, 2020. Wildlife Reserves Singapore said the baby lemur twins were born nearly five months ago, and are now old enough to start welcoming visitors. The species are classified as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature because of habitat loss from illegal logging and hunting.
