Some Indian civil servants have been opting to stay in a rundown apartment block despite safety risks. Residents say they only pay monthly rents of between 8,000 to 13,000 rupees (US$97-US$158) for housing located in central Mumbai, which has one of the world’s fastest-growing and most expensive property markets. But residents say they worry about the structural safety of the building.
