The latest comedy specials from comedians Ricky Gervais and Dave Chapelle are causing “furious backlash” from critics, says Author Douglas Murray.
The two comics recently released specials on Netflix with Ricky Gervais’ titled ‘Armageddon’ and Dave Chapelle’s titled ‘The Dreamer’.
Mr Murray said the two specials have topped the Netflix charts; however are still receiving criticism from critics.
“One critic labelled Gervais’ special ‘tiresome, adolescence offence mongering’,” Mr Murray said.
“Civil rights advocacy group the ‘National Black Justice Coalition’ called on Netflix to remove the Chapelle special from their catalogue altogether.”
