At the end of a week that saw traffic disruption and chaos in Hong Kong, Saturday November 16, 2019, was a day of relative calm. Around Baptist University in Kowloon Tong, crowds came out to help clean the streets. Among them were about 50 Chinese soldiers, who said they “volunteered” to clear the bricks and roads near their barracks. Outside the University of Hong Kong, people came to the street to help remove obstacles which had been blocking Pok Fu Lam Road for days. Sections of Tolo Highway reopened as well, while the Cross-Harbour Tunnel remained closed.
